Fine Product Despite Having to Re-Format I bought this SSD to do a SuperDuper bootable backup of my entire 4TB disk, in my MBPro. It was much faster than expected and I expected a lot. The only issue that I encountered was that I had to re-format the SSD, before it could be used for a bootable backup. No big deal. In fact, even though this was marketed by the manufacturer, as being for Mac, I unexpected this issue, because very few companies that market to Mac users really know what it takes to be FULLY Mac-compatible. If you are looking for an SSD for routine backups, this SSD is Mac-ready. But it is definitely NOT 100% Mac-Compatible. If you intend to create a bootable backup, you'll have to reformat, using Disk Utility. That said, that only takes a few seconds. OTOH, I know some people who are afraid of most utility apps that they are not familiar with. In fact, most of those people miss the days of rotary dial phones. It's a great product... just be prepared to re-format if you are making a bootable backup or want the fastest, most Mac-compatible product. The size is great. It's just slightly larger than the leather business card holder that I carry. In fact, although I'm a techie, every time I pick it up I can't help but think about that fact that I'm holding a 4TB drive. I remember back in the 80's, when it took two of us to lift an 850MB CDC HDD into a 19-inch rack. I realize that this little thing holds more than 4,000 times the data of that old heavy HDD. WOW! Build quality seems to be very good. It appears to be metal, with a rubberized back and sides. In other words, it gives you something to grip and it won't be easily knocked off a table, if it is laying on the rubber side. The metal side is good for applying P-Touch labels. There is no activity indicator light. This is yet another non-issue for me. I only mention it because I know some people like to see a light. Highly recommended, despite the minor initial format issue
