Please read my review Okay, so I'm going to explain something about this CPU and then you're going to thank me, and then I'm going to tell you how great this friggin CPU is. So, by default, newer Ryzen chips do this cute thing where, if it detects that it has thermal headroom, it will literally overclock itself until it reaches its 95C threshold. Once it hits that threshold, it will hold whatever overclock it gave itself until the load goes away. This is different behavior from older CPUs in general, so a LOT of folks are running into "hotter temps" and think it's just the chip eating power and being hot.
